in 2011, the Garage Department maintained and repaired more than 135 pieces of equipment and vehicles used by all City departments.  The Department installed video cameras, emergency lighting, radios, radar and other equipment on new service vehicles and police patrol units.

A new central fueling station with a new fueling system was constructed at Livingston Fire Station #2, consisting of four 6,000 gallon above-ground storage tanks, two for diesel and two for gasoline.  This fuel is used by all City and Fire Department vehicles and equipment.

The Garage crew maintained the 12 generators that supply electricity to various City facilities during power outages, and the fuel supply and fuel operations at Livingston Municipal Airport.  Additionally, they fabricated and repaired specialty tools for all City departments.
