Genasys Emergency Notification System

The City of Livingston has upgraded to a new emergency notification system. This new system will allow the City to better notify its residents, business owners and patrons of severe weather issues, health and safety concerns and other important information. Participation in the system is voluntary but encouraged.  Click HERE to Register for the Genasys Protect Alert System


This system allows authorized City leaders, Police Department and Emergency personnel to rapidly alert citizens and subscribers to any situation affecting the safety and welfare of the City.


Situations may include:

  • Any Matters Affecting the Safety, Property or Welfare of Our City or Our Citizens

  • Crime Alerts

  • Emergency Alerts

  • Hazardous Traffic Conditions

  • Other Matters of Community Interest

  • Severe Weather Warnings

Subscribers may be notified by messages distributed by telephone voice, text message, and/or email message.

Registration - Subscription to the Genasys Protect Alert System (GP Alert) is not automatic. Please remember to update your information as phone numbers and email addresses change.  It is our desire that every residence and business in our community be included in the notification database.

You may register online for the by going to the City of Livingston Genasys Protect Alert System here.  Have your contact information available including your name, street address, telephone numbers and email address and be prepared to create a password. If you reside within the Livingston City limits, you should indicate your physical location on the mapping option, as some notification alerts may only affect a portion of the City. You may change your notification information anytime by signing in to your account with Genasys at the City's portal and changing your notification information.
