Church Street, Livingston, Texas from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday; until position is filled.

The CITY OF LIVINGSTON is accepting applications for one (1) Telecommunications Officer position for the Livingston Police Department.  Experience preferred but will train.  Candidates must be willing to work nights and/or weekends and are subject to an emergency call-in.  This is a full-time position with benefits.  Applications will be accepted at the Police Department, 208 W. Church Street, Livingston, Texas from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday.   This position is posted until filled.

This new system will allow the City to better notify its residents, business owners and patrons of severe weather issues, health and safety concerns and other important information. Subscribers may be notified by messages distributed by telephone voice, text message, and/or email message.

Registration - Subscription to the Genasys Protect Alert System (GP Alert) is not automatic. Please remember to update your information as phone numbers and email addresses change.  It is our desire that every residence and business in our community be included in the notification database.

If you reside within the Livingston City limits, you should indicate your physical location on the mapping option, as some notification alerts may only affect a portion of the City.
